Good morning.

Today on the Blog there is a flower theme. I hope that you are able to make use of some of the ideas that have been on the Blog over the past couple of months, even if they have just inspired you to do one of the activities with your family.

To make pretty, nature-inspired birthday gifts, keepsakes, bookmarks, cards or pictures to hang on your wall, try pressing flowers from your garden.

It's also a great way to introduce botany to your children. Discuss the different shapes, colours, textures and smells and notice the different places where the flowers grow (e.g. in dark places or full sunlight). Get a bit more scientific and ask your little ones to point out the petals, stigma and stamen.
