It finally is beginning to feel like Spring as we begin to se the snowdrops and daffodils appearing all around us! This leads us nicely into our "New Life" topic as we enter into the second half of the Spring term.
We will be reading a range of books linked to the Farm and Farm Animals, such as Farmer Duck, Pig in the Pond, Rosie's Walk, A Squash and a Squeeze and some classic tales such as The Little Red Hen and Chicken Licken.
We will be looking out for signs of Spring in the outdoors as well as thinking and learning about Spring celebrations such as Mothers Day and Easter.

Spring Term 1 2023
Happy New Year!
We begin 2023 with a reflection of the children's Christmas experiences and this leads us into our first topic , Old and New Toys. We will compare similarities and differences between their new toys to those older toys that parents and grandparents may have played with.
We will also be learning about Chinese New Year, performing our dragon parade, making lanterns and dragon masks and eating Chinese food.
We will be reading some popular stories such as Aliens Love Underpants and Whatever Next as we investigate Space and think about what it would be like to travel and live in Space!
