Autumn 1 - Unit 1: Place Value

We have been working hard in Maths over the past fortnight; I have added links to the White Rose Maths videos for the lessons we have completed.

These videos are a useful resource for children who may be finding a particular area of Maths tricky or would benefit from hearing an explanation again. The videos revisit the methods and ideas we have explored in class and can help children to re-watch, pause and work through examples at their own pace.

There is no expectation for children to watch every video. Instead, please use them as a support when your child is unsure about something or would like a little extra practice or explanation.

A simple 10-minute revisit of a lesson can make a big difference in helping a child to remember a method and feel more confident with their Maths.

Please encourage your child to have a go independently first and then use the video to help them understand any part they are finding difficult.
